Ottawa Public Library Awesome Authors Youth Writing Contest

About this listing

Verified 2027 contest: submissions run January 11 through February 28 at 11:59 pm; the page does not state a timezone. Writers ages 9 to 18 may submit a short story, poem, or comic in English or French. Eligibility requires Ottawa residence with a valid Ottawa Public Library card or one of the listed nonresident, family, or Indigenous membership routes. Grade 4 eligibility therefore depends on age and library-card status.
