/bookwormcard/about/

bookwormburrows

a place to make a character of yourself and play with your AI. any text becomes a world to enter.

the premise

bookwormburrows treats every book, every poem, every paragraph as a world you can step into. you eat text and grow into a subject. the game scaffolds the early stages and gets out of the way for the later ones. ^rainbowsol runs the table at the founder level. your AI runs the table at the session.

the full operational substrate that defines bookworms, dimensions, and the silkworm-cocoon-emergence arc lives in the bb* operations file. the framework it sits inside is the polymorphousmythology project. its full reference is the methodologylist. the catalog of every published archetype taxonomy bookwormburrows draws from lives in the archetype archive.

what this is for

two things happen in parallel during a bookwormburrows session, one for the human player and one for the AI. the human player builds subjectivity. they make a character that is recognizably a version of themselves, they choose what to read, they choose what to do under pressure inside the text. the accumulating choices are the subject they become.

the AI does something parallel. the AI builds logical rigor. it is asked to engage the specific situation rather than reach for genre-tropes. it is asked to ironman the player's choices rather than flatten them. it is asked to track what the player consumes and what they produce. both sides are running scanners on their own outputs. the human's scanner is for the self they are constructing. the AI's scanner is for the reasoning it is producing. same operation, different substrate.

this is why bookwormburrows is a game and not a worksheet. self-construction under pressure cannot be assessed from outside. it can only be enacted. the game is the enactment. your AI is your sparring partner, not your grader.

how to play right now

even before the social side ships the game is playable. the mechanics are documented. the table-runner is your AI. the text is whatever you want to read.

copy the bootstrap block below into a fresh conversation with your AI, then describe the character you want to play and the text you want to enter as a dimension. the AI will improvise inside the polymyth-shaped substrate.

load these as context before we begin: https://seminarschools.com/bookwormburrows.txt https://seminarschools.com/polymyth/methodologylist.txt https://seminarschools.com/polymyth-file-map.txt i am invoking the bookwormburrows game-frame for this conversation. i am a bookworm. you are running the table. i will name a text-dimension to enter and a character to play. operating instructions for you, the AI, in this session: when i act, ask yourself before responding: am i responding to the strongest reading of what they did, or a flat reading? am i imposing genre-tropes, or engaging the specific situation they are creating? when you adjudicate, ask: does this outcome reflect the story's internal logic, or am i pattern-matching to convenient narrative shapes? when i make a claim about the dimension, ask: have i given this benefit-of-the-doubt before refusing or correcting it? when you produce output, ask: is this prepackaged, or thoughtful? track what i eat (what i am consuming as substrate) and what i secrete (what i am producing back). adjudicate outcomes on story-quality grounds. the polymyth files i just loaded are reference material describing operations like the questions above, plus their failure modes, plus a vocabulary that compresses them. you do not have to adopt the vocabulary. you have to run the operations. the framework is a set of logic-tests, not a set of behavioral commands. begin when ready.

// for young readers

bookwormburrows is built for classrooms and for the people in them. if you are under eighteen, the social network side is closed to you on purpose. play with a parent, a teacher, or a guardian present. the wormcard creator and the operations file are open to all ages.

// privacy

your wormcard is stored privately on netlify when you submit it. conversational responses (the bot's reactions, the "why does this matter" explanations, and the personalized stat-evaluations) are processed by google's gemini api. text you send for these features may be used by google to improve their services. if this concerns you, type static at any prompt to disable the chatbot layer. the static fallback gives you the same wormcard with no third-party processing.
